Typhoon No. 6 Causes Heavy Rain in Central Vietnam

Typhoon No. 6 is currently classified as a level 11 storm with gusts reaching level 14. It is moving in a south-west direction and is forecasted to bring substantial rainfall to Central Vietnam from tonight until tomorrow. The storm is strong and poses risks of flash floods and landslides, prompting authorities to advise local residents to be particularly vigilant. Emergency services are prepared to respond and have organized safe shelter for fishermen. The predicted rainfall is expected to reach up to 350 mm, and in some areas, it could soar to 500 mm. Provinces from Quang Binh to Da Nang have already put in place measures for storm prevention and have also imposed a sea ban to ensure safety for fishing vessels. In response, local authorities have implemented monitoring strategies and are providing timely assistance for those affected by the storm.
