Rzeczkowski Discusses PiS's Response to Ukraine War

On Thursday, Grzegorz Rzeczkowski, director of the Center for Research on Disinformation, addressed controversies surrounding the Law and Justice party (PiS) in the context of the war in Ukraine during a segment on TVP Info. He was questioned about his recent departure from Newsweek, which was alleged to be linked to his criticism of the government. However, Rzeczkowski firmly denied these claims, clarifying that he left the publication over time for personal reasons. He pointed out that PiS was unprepared for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, indicating incompetence within the ruling party. Throughout the discussion, he responded to various accusations against him, highlighting the false interpretations of his statements and inadequate reactions from politicians, notably Jakub Kumoch, Poland's ambassador to China. Rzeczkowski also criticized the actions of PiS following the attack, asserting that the government failed to take appropriate measures to protect Poland from the Russian threat.
