Devendra Fadnavis Set to Become CM Again

Devendra Fadnavis is poised to take his oath as Maharashtra's Chief Minister for the third time in a grand ceremony coinciding with the presence of Prime Minister Modi. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow at 5:30 PM. Following the confirmation of Fadnavis's position as leader of the BJP legislative party, a wave of jubilation swept over the party workers. The proposal for his candidature received unanimous approval from senior party leaders Sudhir Mungantiwar and Chandrakant Patil. The upcoming government formation discussions mainly involve Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar, aiming for a smooth transition of power. The initial swearing-in will include only Fadnavis and two deputy chief ministers, while the remaining cabinet members and their roles remain undecided. The party aims to strengthen Hindu unity and address grievances over past elections, amidst ongoing challenges such as farmer protests and recent earthquakes in the region, including a notable one that struck parts of Maharashtra. Additionally, law and order concerns regarding the reported assassination of Baba Siddiqui are still being addressed.
