Chennai Schools Closed Due to Heavy Rain Warning

The Indian Meteorological Department had previously warned of a low-pressure area forming in the Bay of Bengal, potentially transforming into a cyclone. Residents are urged to stay vigilant as significant rainfall is expected tomorrow as well, primarily affecting suburban areas. In addition to Chennai, districts such as Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, and Viluppuram are likely to experience heavy rains, prompting local authorities to ensure preparedness. As a precautionary measure against safety hazards, the Collector advised all educational institutions within these districts to remain closed, allowing students and parents to stay safe.
