Salish's 24-Hour Solo Vacation Challenge

In a playful twist of trust and independence, Salish, a 14-year-old girl, takes on the challenge of spending 24 hours vacating alone, while her overprotective father secretly monitors her movements. The day begins with Salish determined to show her capability to plan a family vacation, wanting to visit Catalina Island. Lacking faith in her planning skills, her father sets up a cleverly disguised watch over her to ensure she remains safe. Salish sets out with her dad's credit card to buy VIP tickets for the ferry despite being young. Once on the island, she revels in various fun activities and even rents a cabana, all while her father's obsessive watch continues with humorous disguises. The stakes rise as Salish pretends to misbehave by throwing hotel items out the window, attempting to drive her father to end the challenge. Unexpectedly, she rolls into a tattoo shop, intending to further confuse her father, who believes she’s getting a real tattoo. However, the ruse is revealed when it's a fake tattoo. In the end, Salish's efforts to prove her capability yield a family holiday to go snowboarding at Christmas, showing that independence and parental care can co-exist in a light-hearted manner on family vacations.
